Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise held discussions with project coordinators from IGAD and UNECA to evaluate institutional readiness, address operational challenges, and streamline cross-border trade flows under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.
Accordingly, discussions were held regarding ECAE’S readiness for the implementation of the free trade area, focusing on the opportunities and challenges existing around standard harmonization and the role of conformity assessment facilities.
