ECAE and Haramaya University Agree to Jointly Work on Quality and Research

The Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise (ECAE) and Haramaya University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work in partnership. The agreement aims to effectively utilize national resources available within higher education institutions and service-providing organizations, establish a strong collaborative framework, and work jointly on product and service quality as well as scientific research to achieve national goals.

The agreement focuses on capacity building, research and development, collaborative efforts to ensure the quality and standards of products and services, and quality assurance activities. The MoU was signed by Her Excellency Engineer Meaza Abera, Director General of ECAE, and Dr. Sileshi Deme, Dean of the College of Natural and Computational Sciences, representing Haramaya University.

During the ceremony, Her Excellency Engineer Meaza Abera extended a warm welcome to the university delegation and delivered a presentation highlighting the services provided by the quality infrastructure institutions within Ethiopia’s “Quality Village,” as well as the overall operations of ECAE. Following the signing, Dr. Sileshi Deme and other senior officials from Haramaya University toured the modern laboratory testing facilities at ECAE to observe their operations.
