ECAE Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Debre Birhan University.

Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise and Debre Birhan University signed a memorandum of understanding today to collaborate in the areas of research and development, resource sharing, joint projects development, institutional capacity building, technology transfer, and conformity assessment services. The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Director General of the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise, Eng. Meaza Abera, and the President of Debre Birhan University, Dr. Asmare Melese (PhD).

During the signing ceremony, ECAE Director General Meaza Abera stated that the MoU will help ensure mutual benefits by creating the capacity for the institutions to utilize their full potential and provide services to the community through collaborative research projects, capacity building, and the use of national resources with the university.

The President of the University, Asmar Melese (PhD), stated that the agreement with ECAE is a key partnership agreement for the university to implement its industry-based and practical education system, and that it will help build the capacity of the university’s teachers and other professionals, provide students with practical training, and work together in the field of research and development. He also announced that they will continue to strengthen their partnership with ECAE. An agreement was reached to establish a technical team from both institutions to achieve the intended goal of the agreement and to continue effective work.
