Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise (ECAE) officials discussed with Dr. Tadele Tefera, the country director of the International Center of Insect Physiology and Ecology Ethiopia (ICIPE) and other representatives, on preserving the quality of honey. This discussion, which is a part of a project to increase the nation’s capacity for quality testing and boost the productivity of the honey industry, covered ways to help ECAE by improving the testing, inspection, and certification services it currently offers to the industry; training professionals; supplying testing materials; enhancing operational systems; and advertising its offerings. Engineer Meaza Abera, the Director General of ECAE, gave them an overview of the enterprise’s quality assurance services throughout the conversation.
