
Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise (ECAE) has upgraded its capacity to perform honey quality testing analysis in collaboration with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in the framework of honey value chain project implemented under the Global Market Access Program (GMAP) with Norwegian fund.
The successful delivery and installation of the honey testing equipment, which contributes to strengthening the quality compliance capacity of the honey value chain for greater market access and to enhance Ethiopia’s food safety testing capacity, thereby improving the country’s food products in international markets.
The Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise General Director H.E Eng. Meaza Abera were received the honey testing laboratory equipment from H.E. Stian Christensen, Ambassador of Norwegian Embassy and Mr. Asegid Adane, Deputy Representative of UNIDO Regional Office in Addis Ababa.
UNIDO representatives, representatives from the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, Ministry of Agriculture and different stockholders participated in the handover ceremony.
