The Pan African Quality Infrastructure (PAQI) policy council members, consisting of representatives from: the African Accreditation Cooperation (AFRAC), the Intra-Africa Metrology System (AFRIMETS), the African Electro Technical Standardization Commission (AFSEC), and the African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO) paid a visit to ECAE’s testing laboratories. The council members were briefed on the Enterprise’s quality assurance services by ECAE’s Director General, Engineer Meaza Abera.
The PAQI policy council members were in Addis Ababa to attend a meeting hosted by the African Union Commission in collaboration with the Institute of Ethiopian Standards. The meeting is set to review pan-African Quality Infrastructure instruments that are expected to boost intra-African Trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
