Doraleh Multi-Purpose Port Hosts Workshop on Cargo Handling

The Doraleh Multi-Purpose Port (DMP) held a significant workshop today on cargo handling, aimed at personnel from various departments within the port. The workshop, organized by the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise (ECAE) Djibouti office, brought together key stakeholders to discuss the challenges in cargo handling procedures and to collaboratively seek solutions.
The workshop commenced with a welcoming speech by Ato Tamrat Habtemariam, Branch Coordinator of the ECAE Djibouti office. He warmly welcomed all participants and highlighted the aim of the workshop, which is to introduce the challenges faced in cargo handling and to explore potential solutions. He emphasized the importance of such gatherings in fostering a common understanding and improving operational efficiency.
In his remarks, Tamrat shared a message from Engineer Meaza Abera, Director General of ECAE who expressed her regrets for not being able to attend the workshop due to urgent matters. She conveyed her confidence in the success of the workshop and its objectives. Engineer Meaza also extended her heartfelt thanks to the DMP management, particularly Mr. Djama Ibrahim for his commitment and collaboration with the ECAE team in making the workshop a reality.
Mr. Idriss Dohor, also in his speech, thanked the ECAE Djibouti office for organizing the workshop, emphasizing the idea that the workshop not only facilitates knowledge sharing but also will foster collaboration among all stakeholders in the operation. He encouraged all participants to actively engage in discussions for the betterment of the operations.

Mr. Djama Ibrahim, CEO of DMP, in closing remarks, emphasized the importance of implementing the plans and solutions discussed during the workshop.
