The Director General of the ECAE paid a working visit to the Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone.
The CEO of Industrial Parks Development Corporation, Mr. Fiseha Yitagesu (Dr.) and other senior officials, along with the Director General of the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise, Mrs. Meaza Abera, conducted a field visit and held a discussion at the Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone.
During the visit and discussion, it was agreed that ECAE will open an office in the free trade zone and provide services in close proximity. Accordingly, the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise has been providing quality assurance services by opening an office in Dire Dawa city, but in view of the current demand for services in the free trade zone, Mrs. Meaza Abera assured the officials during the discussion and visit that ECAE is ready to open an additional office in the free trade zone in the near future.
In addition, Her Excellency Mrs. Meaza Abera held discussions and a field visit with the officials of the Dire Dawa Dry Port. She also informed them that the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise is ready to open an office at the Dry Port and provide quality assurance services.
