To increase the food safety and quality of small and medium-sized food producers, an agreement was signed between  Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration and Food Enterprise Solutions.

By providing coordination and consulting services to enhance their goods, food management and supply, and the sector’s business, the agreement aimed to improve the operations of small and medium-sized food production businesses. A quality certificate will be given to small and medium producers that have raised their food safety and quality standards and met the requirements as part of this agreement, which also includes assisting the implementation of national and international food safety and quality management.

At the signing event, it was mentioned that Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise plays a key role in delivering quality assurance services. In addition, Mr. Russ Webster, President of Food Enterprise Solutions, visited the biochemical and other laboratory facilities where ECAE tests food safety and quality.
