Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise(ECAE) has been playing its part in producing competent manpower in various fields of science and engineering technology by working in partnership with various universities and qualifying students through internships and on-the-job training at various times.
For prospective graduates and employers, Addis Ababa University of Science and Technology hosted a Job Fair on June 23, 2014E.C. The event featured participation from more than 50 organizations, including Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise and more than 1,000 graduate students, In his welcome address, Dr. Dereje Engida, president of Addis Ababa University of Science and Technology, stated that the job fair’s goals were to make it easier for graduate students to obtain career prospects in industries and to showcase their creative work.
The program’s honoree and special guest Dr. Solomon Benor, (Director General for Science and Research Affairs for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education) stated that by producing skilled workers in the fields of science and technology, higher education institutions should contribute to the nation’s progress towards better development. He also made mention of the government’s attempts to connect students with industry and increase their expertise through the development of various guidelines.
