The Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise (ECAE) organizes various programs to raise public awareness about quality. World Quality Day is these programs. The day is celebrated globally every year in the month of November with various events to create awareness about the quality of products and services. This year, the day was celebrated from October 29 to November 1, 2016.E.C with the theme Quality: Realizing Your Competitive Potential. The day was celebrated by conducting a 3-day exhibition in which manufacturers, service providers and stakeholders who met the quality standards participated, a workshop where various research papers on quality were presented, and a visit to the enterprise’s testing laboratories.

Opening its testing laboratories for three days to the public enables ECAE to create awareness about the work being done by the enterprise. In addition, the three-day exhibition also featured manufacturers and service providers who had certified their products and management systems and met their quality standards. As a result, the exhibition has given them a great chance to promote and become well-known by the public for their quality & safe products.
