Officials of the Government Procurement and Property Authority of the FDRE made a field visit to the testing laboratories of the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise. The purpose of their visit was to facilitate the conditions for working together by visiting in person the capacity of the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise to provide services in terms of maintaining the quality of products and services.

During the visit, discussions were held with ECAE officials on the conditions under which the products included in the procurement process would undergo a conformity assessment process and be subject to quality control, and on the conditions under which it would be possible to achieve national economic benefits by working together to make the procurement system more resource and time-efficient and competitive by purchasing and supplying a better quality product.
