State Minister of Finance for Economic Cooperation Visted ECAE

H.E. Mrs. Semereta Sewasew, State Minister of Finance for Economic Cooperation, paid a visit to the laboratory capacity building activities carried out by the World Bank project for ECAE. Her Excellency visited nine testing laboratories equipped with modern technologies that the world has reached and ECAE’s capacity to offer services.

Her Excellency expressed her happiness at being able to see the product quality testing services offered by ECAE after her visit and she was able to learn that ECAE have a modern, qualified laboratory equipped to test the quality of a range of products being sold on both domestic and foreign markets.

The government is carrying out a number of support and capacity building initiatives to make Ethiopian products competitive in international markets and to control the quality of imported goods. Her Excellency thus emphasized the need for national coordination of laboratory resources and cooperation in order to enhance the sector’s future growth.
