Senior ministry officials, led by His Excellency Gebremeskel Chala, the new Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, paid a visit to the National Quality Infrastructure Institutions. During their visit, they were briefed on the four quality infrastructure institutions’ operational procedures and services. Officials noted the enterprise is doing a lot of work in terms of capacity building during a visit to the ECAE’S laboratories. The minister stated that ECAE should serve as the backbone of the country’s economy, which is likely to grow significantly in the next years.

Finally, His Excellency Gebremeskel Chala, has directed the institutions to draft a 100-day plan to improve the sector’s performance by identifying and concentrating on the activities that need to be addressed. The officials finished their work visit by assuring them that the Ministry’s support will continue.
